Sustainability
In many parts of the world, beloved wild aromatic plant populations have been severely impacted by overharvesting, poaching and illegal trade.
As a result, we use cultivated aromatics whenever possible. And support sustainable management and harvesting of wild populations on a case by case basis. We also take a pass on materials of unverifiable origin.
In addition, we work with organizations like Airmid Institute, to support aromatic plant conservation initiatives. And all of our packaging is either compostable or recyclable (often both).
Transparency
Navigating the world of incense can be very challenging. Most is manufactured overseas, which can create a language barrier on packaging. Not to mention with no consumer disclosure requirements, actually knowing the ingredients or where they came from is downright impossible most of the time.
